Local London 2012 Olympic Marathon hopeful Anuradha Cooray called into the Aylesbury shop today to collect his SUB4 Nite vision jacket.

Anuradha plans to wear his jacket whilst clocking up the miles along the busy A4010 between High Wycombe where he lives and Aylesbury where he works plus his other runs around both towns.

This coming Sunday 11th March we are both heading down to Bath for the Half Marathon which is part of Anuradha's preparation for the London Marathon on 22nd April where he hopes to run inside the Olympic 'B' qualifying time of 2:18. I'm just going down for a good time!
Anuradha who has a pb of 2:16:38 from 2004 when winning the South Asian Games Gold medal. He finished 30th in the Athens Olympics of 2004 in 2:19:24 when representing his native Country of Sri-Lanka. He showed he has found that sort of form again when in December 2011 he ran 2:18:42 in Pune, India in high humidity and 32'c!
Anuradha is currently training in Asics' GT-2170.

A shoe that is offering excellent cushioning for Anuradha's longer runs and supporting his over-pronation which we established in the later part of 2011. Prior to this Anurahda had been complaining of constant aches and pains throughout his legs and lower back. I am pleased to report that he is now running pain free.
